Well that came as a surprise. I never thought corporates were capable of such humanity. And I always thought that the job of the customer service people was to keep the customers from reaching their bosses.
Right attitude can get a lot done, it seems.
I work for Citi Cards in collections handling sears credit cards. Collections has the ability to remove late fees, but i really don’t think late fees should be removed. Threatning behavior from customers starts a game with me that i know how to win. But i do have a week spot: the reasonable person. When a customer assumes responsibility for there actions and is very resonable, i will help them out. Therefore i remove late fees about 5% of the time.
